October Member’s Walk

‘Autumnal herbs – The Burren’s bountiful nature’ with botanist Sinéad Keane, 1st October in the Eastern Burren. Thanks to Oonagh O’Dwyer for last month’s walk.

NOTE: Due to ever increasing numbers our walks are no longer open to non-members. We have made this decision out of respect for our walk leaders and the members that attend our walks.

Winter Tea Talks

The Burrenbeo Winter Tea Talks series will be starting again in November in Tubber. The talks will be on the 2nd Wednesday from November – March.  Get in touch if there are speakers you’d like to hear.

Winterage Bookings Open

Bookings now open for the Herdsman’s Walk (28th) and Burren Winterage School (26th – 28th) with more details to be confirmed for all events over the coming days.  The Sunday cattle drive will be held in Fanore on the 29th. Visit the website for uptodate information.

ÁItbheo Primary full steam ahead!

Three weeks in to this terms Áitbheo Primary and the students of Ennistymon NS, Mol an Óige, Peterswell NS, Tierneevin NS and Tubber NS have been learning lots about their local landscape, geology and built heritage. This month the students will be looking at people of the past and biodiversity.

Burrenbeo Conservation Volunteers Open Day

Thanks to all who helped with the recent Conservation Volunteers open day, particularly Ros O’Maolduin and Jesmond Harding. Hopefully we’ll see lots of the new volunteers out on upcoming events, with Butterfly Site Maintenance on the 21st October and a First Aid course 7th and 8th October. Wellbeing Grants Available

ChangeX Burren have €6K to distribute to those involved in wellbeing projects in the Burren region. More details here.
