NOTE: Due to increasing numbers Burrenbeo walks continue to be open to members only.  This decision has been made out of respect for the walk leaders and the members that attend the walks.


April Members Walk

Following a March cancellation due to heavy snow, the Burrenbeo walk, “Following the Fergus” with local farmer and community mapper Francis Whelan will now take place in a southern Burren location on Sunday April 1st: note a return to the summer start time of 2pm. Members will be sent the walk start point in a separate email.

Job Opening – Trust Coordinator

Burrenbeo Trust is seeking a Coordinator responsible for managing the daily activities of the Trust, including general administration, coordination of Burrenbeo Trust programmes, supporting the other Officers’ work, grant application and fundraising, event coordination and media relations.
The Coordinator will work alongside the Education and Conservation Officers, and will report to the Executive Committee on a monthly basis. Details for application here.

Burren in Bloom 2018

Plans are afoot for May and Burren in Bloom, with an exciting series of walks, talks, demos and open gardens throughout the region which will give people an understanding and appreciation of the great botanical, archaeological, and cultural wealth of the Burren, its unique wild flowers and ancient sites. Running 18 May-3 June, the programme is launched in April; keep an eye here for festival details, events and bookings.

Burrenbeo Conservation Volunteers

Upcoming volunteering activities include tree planting at an important bat conservation site, and a spring clean-up. For details and how to get involved, see here and email volunteer@burrenbeo.com.
